Our Story
About Laboratory5 Inc.:
Laboratory5 Inc. is a joint venture of husband and wife artist team, Cyndi Coon and Jeremy Briddell, based in Tempe, Arizona. Laboratory5 Inc. stretches wide arms around both art and design. Laboratory5 offerings include custom art commissions, paintings, ceramics, childrens books, stationery, textile pattern designs, temporary and permanent public art, teaching, workshops, training sessions, consulting services for artists and project management for art and social organizations.
About the Artists:
Cyndi Coon was trained in graphic design at Newaygo County Technology Center in Fremont, Michigan. Ms. Coon studied at the Accademia Di Bella Arti in Perugia, Italy and at the New York Studio Exchange Program through the New School for Social Research in New York, New York. She received a Bachelors of Fine Art degree from Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids, MI and a Masters Degree in Fine Art from Arizona State University. Cyndi Coon is the author of Art That Pops published by Scholastic.
Jeremy Briddell was born and raised in St. Louis Missouri. He was a studio assistant for fellow ceramists John Balestreri, Jun Kaneko and the late Ken Ferguson. He received a Bachelors of Fine Art degree from Kansas City Art Institute (Kansas City, MO). He received a Masters of Fine Art degree from Arizona State University (Tempe, AZ) both degrees are in ceramics. Briddell has received a grant from the American Crafts Council. His work has been shown nationally and resides in very prestigious public and private collections.
Together they are joyfully raising their two year old daughter Olive.
